PHOTOGRAPHY JULIA FULLERTON-BATTEN
Since the early 2010s, Julia Fullerton-Batten has focused her research on social rather than personal issues. Korea is a series that stands out through its photographic style, the models used, and contrasts that emphasise conflicts between people and space. The project, incorporating young Korean women Fullerton-Batten met on the streets in the bland, solemn and almost spiritless city of Seoul - the capital of South Korea - focuses on the striking contrast between the urban silhouette and Korean traditions.
